Artificial Limb Measurement camp in Africa under ‘India for Humanity’ programme

Udaipur, 26th Sep 2019: Narayan Seva Sansthan – a charitable organization that runs charitable hospitals in the country for Specially-abled people, in particular polio and by-birth disabled, organised the Africa Seva Tour for  artificial limb measurement camp from 13th – 22nd September 2019 for serving differently abled under the ‘India for Humanity’ programme.

During the Africa Seva Tour, a team of professionals diagnosed and measured the differently abled for artificial limbs distribution along with offering free corrective surgery. The team has identified 89 potential corrective surgery beneficiaries in Mombasa, 22 in Nairobi and 8 in Lenasia.  The number of differently abled whose artificial limbs & calipers were measured amounted to 190 in Mombasa, 114 in Nairobi, 55 in Durban and 16 in Lenasia.

The Divya Heroes team also showcased their talent by performing dance, ramp walk and stunts.  The camp and Divyang Talent Show were held in Mombasa, Kenya on 13th and 14th September 2019, in Nairobi, Kenya on 15th September 2019, in Durban, South Africa on 21st September, and in Lenasia, South Africa on 22nd September 2019. Also, many local organizations like with Mombasa Cements Ltd have partnered with the Sansthan to benefit the differently-abled of Africa.

Prashant Agarwal, President, Narayan Seva Sansthan said, “Most international NGO’s are working with the African government to make it a Polio free country. That is why, our initiative is putting the same efforts to become a helping hand to create a difference by bringing out the best treatments and artificial limbs, which can help differently abled’s lives transformation across world. Our motto is ‘The World is One Family and Our Religion is Humanity.”

Narayan Seva Sansthan is a registered NGO in India working towards transforming and touching every differently abled’s life by offering economic, social and economic rehabilitation. From providing free corrective surgeries, to conducting vocational training centers, Narayan Seva Sansthan is also running smart schools for economically and socially underprivileged children.
