Cairo (IINA) : The Arab League Council will convene an extraordinary meeting on Monday at the level of permanent representatives to discuss ways to counter Israel’s growing infiltration of the African continent, at a request from the State of Palestine and the support of a number of Arab countries.
The meeting, scheduled to take place in Cairo, will discuss ways of confronting the Israeli attempts to coax African countries into siding with it, and to circumvent the status of the Palestinian cause in the African continent. These include Israel’s pursuit to organize an African-Israeli summit in Lomé, Republic of Togo, in October.
The Cairo meeting will discuss ways to strengthen Arab action with the African Union (AU) to support the Palestinian issue and urge African countries not to participate in any Israeli-African conferences.
