Aligarh Muslim University gets a generous donation of Rs. One Crore from Allana

The Frigerio Conserva Allana Limited has donated Rs. One Crore to the Aligarh Muslim University towards its educational activities. A representative of the company today handed over a cheque of Rs. One Crore to Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah, Vice Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University.

AMU Vice Chancellor has thanked Mr. Adil Allana, Managing Director, Allana Sons Ltd., Mumbai for the generous donation, which is the largest contribution in cash ever made by an individual to AMU. He said that this amount will be utilized for raising an additional floor to the proposed hostel for international and NRI students.

The cheque of Rs. One Crore was delivered by Mr. Arshad Munir on behalf of Allana Export House.

AMU Pro-Vice Chancellor, Brig. S. Ahmad Ali, University Registrar, Group Captain (Retd.) Shahrukh Shamshad and the Finance Officer, Mrs. Yasmin Jalal Beg were also present on this occasion.
