Yahoo rolls out upgraded messenger app for Windows, Mac

by | May 25, 2021

YahooNew Delhi, (IANS) : Yahoo on Friday rolled out the upgraded messenger app for Windows and Mac, allowing users a fast way to send not only messages but also photos and animated GIFs.

The updated version of the app has been introduced after its successful launch in December last year, Yahoo said in a statement on Friday.

Among the new features, the “drag and drop” option allows users share multiple photos at once and “like” any posts or images that stand out to them.

Using the messenger’s desktop notifications, users can multitask without having to worry about missing an important message from family, friends or co-workers.

Yahoo has also introduced the unsend button — one of the most popular features now on desktop. It allows you to take back a message, photo or GIF even after you’ve pressed send.

The upgraded Yahoo Messenger desktop app is available for download on Windows and Mac by August 5, the company said.
