Mogadishu (IINA) : Somalia’s Finance Minister Abdirahman Duale Beyle said on Wednesday that his country had received a World Bank grant of $50 million for the implementation of different projects that will address the immediate needs of communities affected by the drought.

At a news conference in Mogadishu, Beyle said Somalia’s national income has grown sharply as a result of enacting tough anti-corruption laws, as well as the transparency of tax control and restructuring of the administration at the seaport and the airport, Somalia Times reported.

The minister said the Federal Government of Somalia was able to pay salaries to civil servants, the military and the police.
