Turkish president, Abu Dhabi crown prince discuss bilateral relations, regional issues

ANKARA:  Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed bilateral relations and regional issues over the phone on Wednesday.

Erdogan and Sheikh Mohammed addressed “steps to improve relations between the two countries” besides regional issues, the Turkish presidency said on Twitter.

The Turkish leader also congratulated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the United Arab Emirates, it added.

Sheikh Mohammed visited Turkey last week and Erdogan will pay a return visit to the United Arab Emirates in February
