Stellar launches data erasure software

BitRaserNew Delhi, (IANS) : Data recovery solutions provider Stellar on Monday launched “BitRaser”, a data erasure software that helps companies safely re-use old IT assets and mitigates risk of information security breach.

“BitRaser” permanently erases data from storage devices beyond the scope of data recovery and also fulfills internal and external corporate audit requirements by providing traceable reporting and certificates of erasure.

“BitRaser’s certified data erasure technology will help businesses and individuals safely reuse or donate their old IT assets which will extend their lifecycle and have long-term environmental benefits”, said Sunil Chandna, CEO, Stellar Data Recovery, in a statement.

“BitRaser” uses 24 internationally recognised erasure standards, to permanently erase data and meet organisations’ statutory compliance obligations of maintaining information security, the company said.
