Mumbai, (IANS) A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Thursday was trading 286.81 points or 1.07 per cent lower during the morning session.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 88.65 points or 1.08 per cent lower at 8,117.95 points.

The Sensex of the BSE, which opened atA26,686.03 points was trading at 26,439.53 points (at 10.30 a.m.) in the early session, down 286.81 points, or 1.07 per cent from the previous day’s close at 26,726.34 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 26,686.03 points and a low of 26,402.67 points in the trade so far.
