by | May 25, 2021

Saudi Arabia-EgyptCairo (IINA) : Ahmed El-Wakil, head of the General Federation of Egypt’s Chambers of Commerce and member of the Egyptian-Saudi Business Council, affirmed the strength of relations between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

He pointed out that the economic and trade relations are growing dramatically due to the existing brotherly ties and honest cooperation between the two countries.

In a statement to Saudi daily newspaper Al-Riyadh, El-Wakil said: “The visit of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to Saudi Arabia a few days ago has come to fruition with the Saudi side’s desire to inject new investments into the Egyptian market by about $24 billion. This will increase the volume of Saudi investments in Egypt’s market to $51 billion, instead of the current $27 billion.”

He said that the investments include energy investment between the Egyptian government and Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power, as well as projects in the Suez Canal region and real estate projects.
