Russia Ukraine War: Scores dead, hundreds injured; Explosions in capital Kyiv

Russia’s ground forces have crossed into Ukraine from several directions, as per the latest update from the war torn country

Ukraine Russia War Live Updates: Russian military in the hours Thursday entered into Ukraine, destroyed airbases, Ukraine navy amid continues air offensive including heavy bombardment. There are reports of casualties though the exact number is yet to come.

Ukrainian military sources in the meanwhile have said they have grounded “multiple number of Russian planes”, killing at least 50 troopers. Russia started invasion of Ukraine, a former Soviet Republic, after President Putin sanctioned “special military operation” in the country to protect Russia from NATO’s expansion plans. Here are the live updates of the day:

Scores dead, hundreds injured; explosions in capital Kyiv

As many as 137 people have been died and hundreds have left injured as Russian “special military operation” entered its second day Friday.

“137 Ukrainian citizens – both soldiers and civilians, died on Thursday”, Ukrainian President Zelensky.

He said the Russians want to destroy Ukraine politically by liquidating him.

Meanwhile, reports are coming in of several explosions in or around the capital Kyiv.

An official with the Ukrainian interior ministry says a Russian aircraft has been shot down over the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, according to BBC.
