Merxius Software, a technology innovation company based out of Hyerabad, has won the prestigious Aegis Graham Bell Award for Innovation in Augmented Reality for its product MARMO.

Vaishali Neotia, co-founder & CEO of Merxius Software said, “Winning this award is a huge honour and we consider it a big achievement. After gruelling jury rounds, our product MARMO was chosen over other already established and large companies’ innovations. It is almost a case of David vs. Goliath and it is a huge boost of confidence for us. This will spur us on in creating more innovative products. Merxius believes in the vision of India as a technology and innovation powerhouse. We want to take the ‘Make in India’ concept to a whole new level.”

The Award was presented as part of the TIME (Telecom, Internet, Media & Edutainment) Conference at a high octane ceremony at the NDMC Convention Centre in Delhi on the 8th of November.

Speaking about the product, Hasan Ali Khan, co-founder & CTO, said “MARMO is an industrial Augmented Reality platform to aid in the maintenance and operation of machines. It runs on the Google Glass and other head mounted displays, apart from tablets and smartphones. Our closed trials with the Indian Army have shown great results and we hope to launch the product in the next two months.”

The Aegis Graham Bell Award is a prestigious award recognising innovation in the fields of Telecom, Internet, Media and Edutainment.
