Maeeshat Academy organized cooking competition for women


Mumbra: On the auspicious occasion of 72nd Independence day Maeeshat Academy organised a cooking competition for women within the locality under the name of “Flavours of India”.

SeventeenĀ women participated in the competition andĀ twenty two dishes were made by them which was tasted and judges Mr. Farooq Khan ( chef Hotel Sahil ) and Mr. Sagheer Ahmed( Supervisor Hotel Sahil).

Mrs. Shah Nazima Zahid stood as a winner of competition for making traditional Maharashtrian dish called ” Badi ka salan, Badi dry and yellow rice”.

Mrs. Khan Shamima Javed got first runner-up up prize for making “Chicken Shandar and Biscuit custard”
Ms. Shaikh Tarannum Aslam got second runner-up prize for making traditional “Karnataka special Fish curry, Fish fry and Rice”
Mr. Farooq Khan and Mr. Sagheer Ahmed who performed their duties as judge were very pleased to be a part of the competition and praised the initiative taken by Maeeshat Academy. They further said ” these kinds of competitions will encourage women and help them to make their identity”.
