NEW DELHI – Society for Bright Future (SBF), a social organisation, has taken an initiative to reach out to the needy with free clothes. In this direction, it has floated a Kapda Bank in Okhla where anyone in need can get clothes free of cost.
The scheme officially started with the opening ceremony of the Kapda Bank at 4 pm on Sunday at Milli Model School.
Mr. Irfan Ahmed, National Coordinator of the SBF, said, “The post-covid economic situation in the country is very delicate. A large number of people around Okhla have just one pair of clothes. We hope to help such people around Okhla Jamia Nagar through the Kapda Bank.
Coordinator of the organisation, Mr Mohd Margoob, said, “The SBF will procure new as well as used clothes from donors and well wishers. The clothes will be selected, washed and made usable for the needy people. The SBF volunteers will estimate the needs of the people in the locality.
Mr. Mohd Shafi Madani, treasurer of the SBF, said, “The initiative will motivate people do something for the society they live in. While helping the needy, we take utmost care so that their self respect is not hurt. This is the reason we have fixed a token price of Rs 10 on each pair. This way they won’t a feeling of getting the clothes for free.”
The same way, he said they have made a family kit with new clothes which cost Rs.1000.
“We make an appeal to all the citizens to help the SBF with a family kit. The residents of Okhla are also requested to donate their new and old clothes that are usable for the needy.
It can be noted here that clothes are available for the needy from March 20, 2022.
