Doha, (IINA) : The Jordanian-Qatari Economic Forum kicked off in the Qatari capital Doha on Monday with the participation of businessmen, investors and representatives of the private sector from both the countries.
The Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Amman Chamber of Industry and Jordan Investment Authority organized the three-day event, according to Arab Herald newspaper.
Head of the Jordanian delegation to the Forum and Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce Nael Kabariti said that both countries are keen on Arab unity and solidarity, noting that Qatar paved the way for holding the event as it recognizes the importance of Arab economic integrity, Petra reported.
He pointed to Jordan’s relentless efforts to develop legislation regulating the investment and industrial process, as well as the business environment to be able to attract more investments into the Kingdom.
For his part, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Khalifah Bin Jasim Al Thani voiced hope that the forum will be an opportunity for businessmen from both countries to set up trade partners in some sectors. He highlighted the need for a better utilization of economic potentials to achieve sustainable development that meets the aspiration of both peoples.
