Jordan, Kuwait to boost bilateral ties

KuwaitKuwait City, (IINA) : Jordanian Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez, who is currently on a working visit to Kuwait, discussed with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Sabah bilateral ties, and means to boost them in various domains.

The Kuwaiti prime minister voiced pride in the advanced level of relations between the two countries, mainly in the political, economic and social fields, Petra reported.

He also stressed his country’s support to the Kingdom to enable it to overcome economic challenges facing it due to the current situation in the region.

Kuwait, Sheikh Al-Sabah said, will not spare an effort to support Jordan, and is interested in forging closer ties with the Kingdom and encourage the Kuwaiti private sector to increase its investments in Jordan.

The prime minister pointed to the continued coordination between the two sides on various issues of common interest to serve the two countries and their peoples. During the meeting, Al Fayez and the Kuwaiti prime minister reviewed bilateral ties and the current situation in the Arab region, mainly the crisis in Syria.

The Senate president highlighted the strong ties between Jordan and Kuwait in the political, economic and investment fields, adding that Kuwaiti investments in Jordan reached $12 billion. He also praised Kuwait’s continued support to Jordan to enable it to address economic challenges facing it.
