Jordan FM Judeh conveys King’s invitation to Qatari Emir to take part in Arab summit


Doha, Qatar, (NNN-PETRA) : The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Monday, received Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Nasser Judeh, who handed him an invitation from King Abdullah II, to attend the Arab summit, to be held in Amman this coming Mar.
Judeh conveyed the King’s greetings to the Qatari Emir, and his best wishes for the people of Qatar. Judeh said that, the upcoming summit is being held at a difficult time, as the region is witnessing exceptional conditions, that require direct consultation, continuous dialogue and practical decisions, to confront all challenges, especially combating terrorism and extremism.
The minister highlighted the importance of the Emir’s participation in the summit, which will contribute to its success, in light of the common challenges that face the region.
Sheikh Tamim, sent his greetings and appreciations to the King and the people of Jordan, stressing the importance of holding the upcoming summit in Jordan, and the need to discuss all key challenges facing the region.
Judeh and the Emir highlighted that, the Palestinians cause remains the pivotal issue in the region, and stressed the need to address the Syrian crisis, now entering its seventh year, and its humanitarian repercussions that affect the region.
