JEDDAH – An Indian worker hanged himself inside a restroom at King Abdulaziz International Airport’s departure lounge Saturday few minutes after attempting to assault a female passenger, according to KAIA director Abdulhameed Abalaree.
The man was going to leave the Kingdom for good on an exit-only visa. After completing all measures at the departure lounge, he started to act weird and suddenly tried to jump on a woman who was waiting to board the airplane.
Officers arrested the man and airport authorities cancelled his flight for fear that he posed a big threat to other passengers. He told the officers he wanted to go to the restrooms and he hanged himself inside.
