Trade and business can be associated with Mumbra since as far back as 600E when Arabs came to the Konkan for spices. Back then, the ships that were used in the trade were constructed here in Mumbra , which was home to various fishermen tribes
Due to geographical proximity to Mumbai city which has been the undisputed financial capital of India since British time, Mumbra was destined to experience urbanization. No wonder, the Landscape is dotted with countless apartments that mostly are home to the middle and lower middle class.
