Indore: Stage is all set for the three-day (October 8 to 10) Global Investors Summit to be held at Indore, the financial capital of Madhya Pradesh, starting here from Wednesday.

As many as 500 foreign delegates will attend the summit. These include ambassadors and officials from 28 participating countries. Seven countries have given their consent to become partners in the Global Investors Summit. These countries include Australia, Canada, South Africa, Mexico, Malaysia, Czech Republic and Quebec.

Around 37 industrialists and business tycoons of the country have consented to be present on this day. They include Chairman of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance ADG Group Anil Ambani, Videocon Industries’ Managing Director Anirudh Dhoot, Chairman of Tata Sons Cyrus Mistry, Adani Group’s CMD Gautam Adani, Essar Group’s Chairman Shashi Ruia and Raymond Group’s CMD Gautam Singhania.

First day of the summit will be dedicated to medium, small and micro enterprises (MSME) convention. Union Minister for Medium, Small and Micro Industries Kalraj Mishra will be chief guest and Lok Sabha (Lower House) Speaker Mrs. Sumitra Mahajan special guest on the occasion. The programme will also be addressed by the state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Industries Minister Mrs. Yashodhara Raje Scindia and CII Madhya Pradesh’s President C.E. Fernandes. On the occasion, state level MSME Awards will also be distributed. State’s medium, small and micro entrepreneurs will participate in it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest on the second day of the summit on October 9. Chief Minister Chouhan will felicitate the Prime Minister. Chief Secretary Anthony de Sa will give a presentation on investment opportunities and progress in Madhya Pradesh. A film “Advantage Madhya Pradesh” will also be screened.

38 sessions to be held on various subjects

As many as 38 sessions on different subjects will be held during 3-day Global Investors Summit. The session on the first day October 8 will focus on credit flow to MSME. Secretary Finance Manish Rastogi, Chairman of MCX Satyanand Mishra and CMD of Central Bank of India Dr. Rajiv Rishi will be keynote speakers at this session.

Besides, country sessions will also be held by various countries. On October 8, Canada, Czech Republic, Mexico and Peru will discuss various investment possibilities. On October 9, Australia will hold country session. On the last day of Global Investors Summit, South Africa, Spain Malaysia and Quebec will hold discussions on tourism, infrastructure and Smart City.

Chief Minister Chouhan released monthly magazine Pradesh Today’s special issue marking Global Investors Summit “Global Udan Ko Tayyar Madhya Pradesh” here today. Modi makes stopover at Indore airport

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a stopover at Indore airport on way to Maharashtra by an Air Force plane today. Chief Minister Chouhan received Prime Minister Modi with a bouquet. He also gave detailed information to the Prime Minister about Global Investors Summit. Later, Prime Minister Modi left by helicopter of Air Force for his next destination.

Chouhan inaugurated an exhibition focusing on Simhastha-2016 at the venue of Global Investors Summit here today. The exhibition has been put up to apprise industrialists and guests from country and abroad about glorious tradition of Simhastha. (pervezbari@eth.net)
