FMSA welcomed Prime Minister’s statement, Condemned K Rahman Khan

(Press Release):

Forum for Muslim Studies & Analysis (FMSA) Aligarh has welcomed the statement of Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh in which he accepted that, “not much could be done for Minorities and Sachar committee recommendations also could not be implemented as desired.”

Chairing a political analysis meeting of FMSA at Media Centre Aligarh Prof. Razaullah Khan said, “Union Minister of Minority Affairs K. Rahman Khan had said during the interview to BBC that “66 recommendations of the Sachar Committee out of total 69 have been implemented.” He pointed out that now Dr. Manmohan Singh himself accepted that not much could be done” which exposes the lie of K. Rahman Khan. He said that misguiding by a Union Minister in such a way is not only against constitution and parliamentary tradition but also unethical.

Secretary General of FMSA Jasim Mohammad said UPA government has identified 90 minority concentrated districts on National Level but failure to implement any welfare or development scheme there. Jasim Mohammad said that according to Media reports, Rahul Gandhi will be soon announced Prime Ministerial Candidate. Rahul Gandhi should apologise publicly over his statement on Muzaffarnagar riots and must present his agenda on development of Muslims only then he may receive support.

Dr. Mohammad Shahid Executive Council member of Aligarh Muslim University said the Congress party has become habitual to terrorise Muslims by Narendra Modi, RSS and citing Gujarat. It should discontinue that strategy. He said Congress must return to secularism from its soft hindutva and should take up Muslim Issues in national interest.

Dr. Naseem Ashraf Former President, AMU Students Union said that the electoral group of Congress is continuously nosediving and it is only using Minorities. UPA government has failure to constitute the Equal Opportunity Commission and could not table Anti- Communal Violence Bill in its original form, Jamia Urdu Open University Bill, AMU Minority Status Bill. This is not fruitful to Congress politically.

AMU Court member & Sr. Scientist Prof. Humayun Murad said Congress did not want to treat Muslims as equal partner and uses than only as Vote bank. This is not going to pay now.

In the end of political analysis meeting FMSA unanimously passed a resolution in which it welcomed the statement of Prime Minister of India and strongly condemned K Rahman Khan for misguiding Muslims and nation. In another resolution FMSA said that Rahul Gandhi should present his agenda for Muslims otherwise he will not be acceptable to Muslims.
