Flydubai expanding with flights to India and Kazakhstan

Dubai: flydubai is expanding its operations following the announcement of five new destinations with flights to India and Kazakhstan.

The hybrid airline, which offers a mix of low cost and full service, released a statement on Monday that it will double its network into India with flights to Delhi, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

It will also launch services to Almaty and Shymkent, which marks its entry into the Kazakh market.

“Today’s route announcements are a clear demonstration of the important role we are playing in the development of the tourism industry and there remains much opportunity,” stated Ghaith Al Ghaith, flydubai’s chief executive.

flydubai did not state when the flights will begin nor did they release the frequency or pricing. The airline did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

However, in its statement it said the previously announced Moscow route will fly to Vnukovo International Airport from September 23. The flight departs Dubai at 9am and lands in Moscow at 2:10pm. The return flight departs Moscow at 3:10pm and arrives in Dubai at 8pm

flydubai has also announced this year flights to Hofuf in Saudi Arabia, Aden in Yemen and Kandahar in Afghanistan.
