Faster Intel Core X-series processors available from August 28New Delhi : Designed to meet extreme computing demands for virtual reality (VR), content creation, gaming and overclocking, Intel on Tuesday announced the availability of its faster 12- to 18-core processors in the ‘Core X-series’ for the Indian market.

Touted as most powerful, scalable and accessible high-end desktop platform offered by Intel, the 12-core processors will be available from August 28 and 14- to 18-core processors from September 25, the company said in a statment.

These processors include Intel Core i9-7920X, Intel Core i9-7940X, Intel Core i9-7960X and the Extreme Edition Intel Core i9-7980XE.

These processors can deliver up to 20 per cent better performance for VR content creation and up to 30 per cent faster 4K video editing over the previous generation.

Gamers can experience up to 30 per cent faster extreme mega-tasking for gaming over the previous generation.

The 4- to 10-core Intel Core X-series processors are already available at multiple retailers, along with more than 200 Intel X299 Chipset motherboards.
