Havana, (NNN-ACN) : Cuba and the Saudi Fund for Development recently signed a new loan agreement aimed at developing the Rehabilitation and Construction of Social Works Program of the City Historian’s Office in Havana.
According to the official website of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the agreement with a value of 100 million Saudi Riyals, equivalent to some 26.6 million dollars was signed by the Cuban Economy and Planning Minister Ricardo Cabrisas and Vice President and Executive Director of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sr. Yousef Ibrahim Albassam.
The penning of the accord concluded the official visit of the Cuban government official to Saudi Arabia, which also included a meeting with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who received a message from President Raul Castro.
The Cuban official’s program also included meetings with Saudi Ministers of Economy and Planning; Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources; and Finances and other Saudi government officials.
The Cuban delegation also included representatives of Energy and Mines; Economy and Planning, Foreign Trade and Investment; and Foreign Affairs, Central Bank and the country’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
