Cipla posts 107 percent rise in April-June profit

CiplaMumbai:(IANS) Global pharmaceutical company Cipla registered a Rs.690.05 crore net profit for April-June 2015-16, a rise of 107 percent over the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2014-15, the company announced on Friday.

According to the standalone quarterly results for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, net profit rose by Rs.357.88 crore in Q1 2015-16, net profit was Rs.332.17 crore in the same quarter of last year.

Total income from operations rose to Rs.3,542.27 crore in the quarter under review from Rs.2,474.46 crore in Q1 2014-15, it increased by Rs.1,067.81 crore at the rate of 43.15 percent.

According to the consolidated quarterly results, net profit increased to Rs.650.61 crore in the analysed quarter from Rs.294.58 crore in Q1 2014 – 15, a rise of Rs.356.03 crore at the rate of 120 percent.

On a consolidated basis, Cipla’s total income from operations was Rs.3,852.77 crore in Q1 2015 – 16 against Rs.2,720 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal, total income from operations rose by Rs.1,132.77 crore at the rate of 41.64 percent.
