Last month the ED had questioned Pankaj Bhujbal, son of Chhagan Bhujbal in connection to the alleged multi crore Maharashtra Sadan case.

Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal has been arrested by the the Enforcement Directorate in money laundering case. Chhagan Bhujbal a strongman and a close associate of Sharad Pawar has been arrested by the ED on Monday evening after he was grilled by the probing agency.

Last month the ED had questioned Pankaj Bhujbal, son of Chhagan Bhujbal in connection to the alleged multi crore Maharashtra Sadan case. The probing agency has also seized his passport to ensure that Pankaj dopes not leave the country.

The NCP leader was arrested in presence of high security in the money laundering case. On Saturday morning Chhagan Bhujbal was summoned by the ED after which he came to the office of probing agency on Monday morning. The ED has been probing the role of NCP leader since last one year.

According to a highly placed source, Bhujbal was accompanied by his lawyer when he went to the ED office at Nariman Point for questioning.
