Luanda, (NNN-ANGOP) : An Angolan delegation, led by Economy Minister Abrahão Gourgel, will go on a roadshow in India next month to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) from the Indian business sector, the Ministry of Economy says in a media statement here.
The roadshow, which will be held from July 13 to 16, will see the minister holding discussions with leaders of Indian enterprises with the aim of establishing beneficial partnerships to promote the diversification of the Angolan economy and private businesses.
The moves are part of Angola’s plan to create its productive capacities to help in the diversification of the Angolan economy.
The roadshow will take the delegation to New Delhi and Mumbai where it seeks to boost bilateral co-operation in the sectors of agriculture, forestry, mining, energy, manufacturing, transports and logistics.
The delegation will also meet various Indian organizations operating in the agriculture and farming, electricity, coal, renewable energy and mining and trade sectors and local business groups.
The Angolan delegation will also include the secretaries of State for Industry; Geology and Mining; and Transport, as well as the deputy governors for economic affairs of the provinces of Huambo, Zaire, Bengo and Huíla.
