Hyderabad:(IANS) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday left for Singapore on a two-day visit to discuss development of new state capital.
Accompanied by Finance Minister Y. Ramakrishnudu, Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana and top officials, Naidu left for Singapore from the Gannavaram Airport at Vijayawada.
He will also invite Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the new capital.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lay foundation stone of Amaravati on October 22.
The chief minister said Singapore had already prepared three master plans for capital region, capital city and seed capital.
“We have to see how they are going to participate in the development of the state capital,” Naidu said.
The delegation on Monday will participate in a commercial meeting at Science Park with a Singapore consortium and later, meet Second Minister for Trade and Industry S. Iswaran for lunch and discuss the Swiss Challenge method for Amaravati Development.
Later in the evening, the chief minister will deliver a lecture at the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) then attend the dinner hosted by the Singapore consortium.
On the second day, Naidu will visit the Singapore City Gallery. He will also review the planning for the civic district, Marina Bay and also study the concept plan and the master plan.
The visit to Singapore City Gallery will also include planning for green and blue spaces, recreation spaces, island-wide water catchment, waste management, integration of land use plans with public transport networks and conservation planning.
