Mumbai: (Press Release) The event marking the 10th year celebration was a historical event where the whos-who of the Community were invited to sensitize them about the essence of Community service, need for it and how AMP has galvanized the youth to address this pressing concern. To help the Community leaders empathize and further illuminate the sparks in their hearts towards effective Community service and a noble service and be a part of the AMP revolution.

The idea of Association of Muslim Professionals came into reality on 06 December 2007. This year (2017) is the 10th year of its functioning. The 10th Year celebrations signifies the start of Yearlong celebrations marking the completion of 10 years of establishment of AMP since its inception and will finally culminate on 06th December 2017. It will also see AMP taking up all its activities more aggressively with which it has been creating a positive impact in the society all across the nation.

On the completion of 10 years in December 2017, AMP has planned to organize various programs including conventions in different cities of India in sha Allah and an All India Convention of AMP Members in Mumbai.

The Program was hosted by AMP General Secretary Mr. Syed Najeeb who gave the audience a brief about the 10th Year celebration.

As customary, it started with Tilawat – recitation of verses of The Holy Quran by Ms Anam.

Mr. Razak Shaikh – Head AMP Employment Cell extended a warm welcome to the audience and dignitaries in his inimitable and enthusiastic manner.

Noted HR professional Mr. Hafeez Iqbal spoke sensitizing about the need for community service and motivating how to go about with it in an effective manner. He spoke in detail about an Ideal Organization and how it should be managed.

AMP president, Mr. Aamir Edresy spoke about the AMP History, its Vision, Mission and objectives. AMP projects and future plans.

Aamir Edresy spoke about the Vision 2025 of Association of Muslim Professionals and how to achieve it.

He thanked all those people who have helped AMP over the period of last 10 years.

Aamir Edresy spoke about the idea of AMP to effectively use the technology and collaboration with different organizations across India to execute all AMP Projects.

Aamir Edresy also spoke about the plan of the organization to work with different government agencies like Ministry of Skill Development, Different Government Schools etc.

Further the session proceeded with live testimony by some of the people touched by various AMP projects and activities which was oriented by Miss. Sawleha.

Later the Patron Members and the conveners of the event Mr. Suhail Khandwani, Mr. Farrok G Gheewala, Mr. Asif Dadarkar, Mr. Tanveer Merchant and Mr. Arshad Syed were invited to the podium and shared their thoughts with the audience.

Suhail Khandwani: Spoke about how AMP became close to his heart due Aamir Edresy’s consistent efforts to meet him to take the vision of AMP forward.

Asif Dadarkar: Appealed to the august gathering that AMP needed participation from them instead of just funds.

The next session was with some of the notes dignitaries from the Community sharing their views and experiences which was oriented by noted social crusader and community star Mr. Sayyed Khan.

Adv. Rizwan Merchant: Said that he was honoured to have been made the Patron Member and he would put all his efforts for the upliftment of the community via AMP

Adv. Waris Pathan (MLA): Said that he too was honoured to be a part of such gathering and would use his good offices to further the cause of AMP

Adv. Yusuf Abrahani: Mentioned that AMP’s cause is close to his heart for a longtime and he will continue supporting AMP as it was the need of the hour.

Dr. Zaheer Kazi: Mentioned that his organisation Anjuman e Islam has always supported AMP and that Aamir Edresy was a product of Anjuman’s Saboo Siddik College of Engineering.
