Addressing the reeling unemployment effects due to demonetization, Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) and Ishterak organized mega Job Fair sees unprecedented response.

Mumbai: Association Of Muslim Professionals (AMP) had organized a mega Job Fair in Mira Road East, Mumbai in association with Ishterak Education Society on 7th January, 2017. The job fair was attended by more than 1350 candidates out of which 280 candidates got selected on the spot and another 350 were shortlisted for next rounds.

AMP has always been in the forefront of addressing various welfare issues for the Community, especially those related to education and employment. In this respect, the objectives of AMP, which it had framed more than eight years back and has been successfully implementing since, are very much in line with the present government focus on Skill Development and providing Employment/Job opportunities which AMP has been successfully and effectively implementing the same since long.

The Mira Road Job Fair was another endeavor in this direction and in the present scenario with an environment of skepticism due to demonetization it became all the more imperative. There were 43 companies including renowned International Placement Consultants F. Gheewala, IT firms such as NIIT, banks such as Yes Bank & Bombay Mercantile Bank, Healthcare Startup Portea now Health Vista India and other successful startups such as Ola Cabs & DriveU, Finance companies such as Angel Broking, NGO such as Cancer Aid Foundation & Magic Bus India, manufacturing firms such as Evolute, and leading other consultancies etc. had participated in the event. Many job aspirants across Mumbai as well as various other cities had attended the event since it provided the rare opportunity to directly connect with potential employers and demonstrate their skills to them in a one-on-one manner.
