USTM Vice Chancellor takes charge of AIU as Vice President

9th Mile, Khanapara, Ri bhoi, July 13, 2022: Prof GD Sharma, Vice Chancellor, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya has taken over the charge of the Vice President, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi with effect from the 1st of July this year for a period of one year, stated a notification signed by Dr (Mrs) Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General of AIU.

Meanwhile, another good news for the USTM and the entire higher education institutions of the North East is that the Association of Indian Universities has selected the USTM as the host and the venue for the 97th Annual General Body Meeting of AIU to be held in March-April 2023. More than 500 Vice Chancellors of Universities and Directors of IITS are coming to join this most prestigious academic event of the country.

Moreover, the National Conference of the Vice Chancellors of Association of Indian Universities will also be held at the Central Auditorium of USTM during the same period. Vice Chancellor Prof GD Sharma has received the official letter from Dr (Mrs) Pankaj Mittal informing the decision of selecting USTM as the host of the 97th AGBM and the National Conference of Vice Chancellors of AIU.
