Singapore: (Press Release) The global halal industry is growing at a remarkable rate whereby it was approximately USD 2.3 trillion, which has now almost tripled, to USD 6.4 trillion by this year 2020. This is an astounding growth in just eight years. While halal is perhaps most often associated with meat, food and drink, there are in fact a wide range of halal products and services which can be offered, including healthcare and pharmaceuticals, personal care and cosmetics, travel and tourism, and financial services.
As for Singapore, they are pulling our resources together in a concerted effort to develop the halal industry in a holistic manner.
The utmost essential objective of United World Halal Development (UNWHD) associated with Singapore Food United (SFU) & Singapore Food Manufacturers Association (SFMA) is to bring the Singapore products to reach global. Our mission is to reach European, Middle East and the 57 OIC Countries.
With our expertise we would enable the manufacturers to get MUIS certification for Halal and GVCS – (Vegetarian or Vegan) certification from Global Vegetarian Certification Services as an international vegetarian certification authority to accord with the confidence level as it is Pure, No Meat and No Alcohol or other harmful materials are used.
This significant MOU shall bring a great change whereby our core objective is to increase the Singapore export market to approximately 100 million SGD in the next 3 to 5 years.
This MOU signing ceremony was organized on December 4th 2020, at 9 Jurong Town Hall Rd, Singapore 609431, Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association (SFMA) office, in the presence of Mr David Tan Lye Hock (President of Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association) along with Mr Mohamed Jinna (Chairman of United World Halal Development) and Mr Raymond Ngan (Director of Singapore Food United).
We shall facilitate with the Certification Process, Trade Facility and Business To Business Opportunities, World Halal Day International Expo and to identify & open new horizons for Singapore Halal & Vegetarian certified products.
We feel honoured and very much enchanted for giving us the opportunity and showing confidence in our expertise by organizing & conducting regular meetings and brainstorming sessions putting into effect everyone’s time and effort to make this project a great success.
Under the association with SFU, UNWHD & GVCS and supported by SFMA we have a common vision & goal For Singapore to become the Halal & Vegetarian trade hub of ASEAN and the food industry hub to remain as one of the key supporting pillars driving the growth of the Singapore economy, including helping local food manufacturers to grow and strengthen their market positions by facilitating and promoting exports, productivity and innovation.
