H&M apologizes for alleged ‘Allah’ writing on socks

H&M apologizes for alleged ‘Allah’ writing on socksStockholm: The Swedish clothing brand H&M apologized for allegedly having a pattern resembling the word “Allah” written in Arabic letters on children’s socks, local media reported.

The pattern on the children’s socks ignited uproar among the customers in the country, Swedish state-run radio SVT reported.

In a statement, H&M claimed they did not use the word “Allah” but apologized for the resemblance.

The company announced that all socks have been recalled from markets.

On January 8, the company had also apologized for an online advertisement featuring a black child modeling a sweatshirt reading “Coolest monkey in the jungle.”
