Omar al Bashir stresses strength of Sudanese-Chinese relations
Khartoum (IINA) – Sudanese President Omer al-Bashir has affirmed the strength of Sudanese-Chinese relations in all domains, describing them as strategic, SUNA reported.
Bashir made the remarks during his meeting with Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Jiang Ming at the Guest House here on Saturday.
In a statement to the press following the meeting, Ming explained that the meeting agreed to accelerate cooperation between the two countries in various fields including political ties and international affairs as well as cooperation in the spheres of economy, agriculture, oil and minerals.
He added that the cooperation in cultural exchange between Sudan and China was also discussed to realize aspirations and ambitions of the peoples of the two countries.
Director of the Chinese Affairs’ Department at the Foreign Ministry Dr Karar Al-Tohami said that the president touched on, during the meeting, all the joint issues pertinent to the consolidation of the deep-rooted Sudanese-Chinese strategic relations.
Dr Al-Tohami pointed to the previous agreements signed by President al-Bashir and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in all fields, stressing that the visit of China’s deputy foreign minister to Sudan came to assure the distinguished relations between both nations.
