Markazul Ma’arif to distribute additional 5000 food and clothe kits in Bihar

Mumbai : Today Ajmal CSR Bihar Relief Operation has completed its third phase of distribution with 1500 Food+Clothe Kits among the flood victims in Bihar’s 9 districts- Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Araria, Madhubani, Saharsa, Supaul, Motihari and Bettiah. The kits carried 10 kgs of live-saving food items along with a pair of clothes for male and female in each was organized by Ajmal Foundation, Hojai, Assam.
In the earlier two phases we have distributed 1000 emergency food kits among the flood victims in Bihar from 18 to 25 August.
I appreciate our volunteers and area heads who have dedicatedly carried out this relief mission and even sacrificed their Eid holidays in very tough conditions for the humanity in need.
Ajmal CSR’s partner organization Markazul Ma’arif is going to begin with a new and 4th phase of Bihar Relief Operation from 10 September, 2017. In this phase we will distribute additional 5000 Food+Clothe Kits, consisting of 9 essential food items, as in the previous ones, and clothes for both men and women.
The breakup of the 4th Phase is as under:
Purnia and Katihar – 1000 kits, (2) Kishanganj – 600 kits, (3) Araria – 1000 kits (4) Madhubani, Supaul and Saharsa – 1000 kits, (5) Bettiah and Matohari – 1000 kits and (6) Sitamarhi – 400 kits.
This phase with physical surveys of 5000 families, kits preparation and distribution will be completed in next 15 days In’sha’Allah.
Maul. Parvez Alam Qasmi, HoD: Dept. of Relief & Rehabilitation at Markazul Ma’arif, Hojai, Assam with a team of three more office bearers is reaching Bihar on Saturday, 9th Sept. He will begin distribution of the 4th phase in Araria on Sunday 10th Sept. then proceed to Purnia on Monday. The new manpower from Assam will stay and add on to the existing five teams under Ajmal CSR Bihar Relief Operation spearheaded from MMERC, Mumbai.
We are immensely thankful to all our individual donors, partner organizations in India and abroad who rushed to support the suffering human beings. Al-Imdaad Foundation, Issa Foundation, (UK) and AFMI (USA) have been partners in some of our Bihar relief operations.
The need is yet enormous. Ajmal CSR may begin with the rehabilitation programme next.
