ISF approves new financial aid for development projects

ISFDJeddah : The Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF), one of the organs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has approved new financial aid for several developmental, social and educational projects in a number of OIC member states.

The OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen said that this aid comes in the context of the support provided by the OIC, represented by the ISF, for the efforts to achieve sustainable and inclusive human development and economic well-being of the peoples of member states.

He asserted that this is part of the assiduous efforts of the OIC to serve Muslims in these sectors and develop their capacities in various social, economic, educational and cultural fields.

The beneficiaries of the ISF new financial assistance are various. They include the Waqf project of the Islamic University of Niger, the Islamic Charitable Organization and Conadi Charitable Society in Côte d’Ivoire, and Al-Zahra Association for Social Development and Vocational Training in Burkina Faso. They also include the Saudi Dar Al-Mawsoa Charitable Society, Youth Revival Charitable Organization in Sudan, and the Islamic Committee of the International Crescent in Libya as well as Haj Najib Education Center in Sri Lanka, a non-member state.
