New Delhi: Two IITians, Imbesat Ahmad and Shadman have developed an app for NEET-JEE aspirants. With the help of the app, a student can connect with a tutor within 60 seconds.
The purpose behind the development of the app named ‘FILO’ is to solve problems faced by students of classes 9 – 12 while doing self-study. Ahmed said that the app provides several facilities for students at no cost.
The Ministry of Education, Government of India praised the initiative & tweeted about it. Moreover, the Department of Education, Govt. of Jharkhand is to give this app to 10,000 students in the state.
Currently, more than 1500 alumni of India’s premier institutes like IITs, NITs, AIIMS, BITS, IISC, DU etc. have joined the platform as experts. Moreover, makers of the app intend to onboard 3000+ experts by the next two months. Additionally, the app is entirely ad-free, secured, and is designed to work well even on slow to weak internet speed over a basic smartphone.
More than 25,000 students are using FILO. Every day more than 1 million minutes of classes have been conducted just in the last 12 weeks.
The app offers anonymity to students, encouraging even the shy and introverted kids to speak up and get their queries resolved in no time. Students can learn the following subjects on FILO.
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Mental Ability – targeting Board exams, JEE, NEET, Government job exams like railways, banking etc.
The android version of FILO is available on Google Playstore: findfilo.com/download.
How FILO works?
Whenever a student is stuck, can take a pic or type in the app and within 60 seconds an expert will be provided 1 to 1 on a video call and the student can learn.
Even those who can’t afford costly institutions and are without teachers in this pandemic can learn everything they want on FILO. They can get a quick revision, understand any topic from any book, learn numerical solving tips, time management, get counselling.
Mr Ahmad, who is one of the makers of the app , said that he had faced immense challenges in terms of guidance and coaching during his school days. So, after graduation, he decided to not take up any corporate job but work in the field of education & make it more accessible. The app is the realisation of his dream to make education more convenient for students.
