ISESCO hosts Forum for Industrial Information and Statistics in Arab Countries

ISESCO hosts Forum for Industrial Information and Statistics in Arab CountriesRabat : The Forum for Industrial Information and Statistics in the Arab Countries (FIISAC), with the theme of “Massive Data Technologies”, kicked off at the headquarters of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday.

The agenda of the three-day forum, being organized by the ISESCO in collaboration with the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO), features topics like use of artificial intelligence and its impacts on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), big data and artificial intelligence, Arab and global challenges facing artificial intelligence, and presentation of the leading artificial intelligence experiments.

Participants in the forum include scientists, researchers, experts and university professors from Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Tunisia, as well as representatives of Moroccan public sectors, specialized regional organizations and experts from the ISESCO and AIDMO.

The event is held as part of the two organizations’ keenness to develop science, technology and industrial development in member states and to keep abreast of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), especially in the field of artificial intelligence and the great development in information and statistics, and the urgent need for exchange of experiences to contribute to achieving the 2030 Agenda for SDGs.
