Geneva, (IINA) : Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Labor and Social Development has been elected as an alternate member of the Governing Body of the International Labor Organization (ILO) for a period of three years.
The elections took place on the sidelines of the 106th Session of the International Labor Conference in Geneva, according to SPA.
The ILO Governing Council elections ended with the nomination of 24 alternate members of government teams representing four geographical regions: Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Arabia, where the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia obtained 168 votes out of 253 as alteranate member of the Asia Group for the period of 2017-2020.
