New Delhi (IANS),  Conveying his greetings and best wishes on Eid-ul-Fitr, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the festival will help strengthen the spirit of harmony and peace in society.

“My greetings and best wishes on Eid-ul-Fitr. May this special day deepen the spirit of harmony and peace in society,” Modi said in his message.

The world leaders Modi greeted on Eid included Saudi Arabia’s King Salman, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Iran President Hassan Rouhani, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Bangladesh premier Sheikh Hasina and Maldives President Abdulla Yameen.

“Spoke to President Rouhani, President Ghani, PM Nawaz Sharif, PM Sheikh Hasina and President Yameen and greeted them on Eid, the Prime Minister added.
