Mumbai, (IANS) : The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday opened in a positive region during the morning session of the trade.

The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 28,065.25 points touched a high of 28,108.39 points and a low of 28,032.85 points.

On Tuesday the Sensex closed at 27,990.21 points.

The Sensex is trading at 28,037.82 points up by 47.61 points, or 0.17 per cent.

On the other hand, the broader 51-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 8,648.50 points after closing at 8,632.60 points on Tuesday.

The Nifty is trading at 8,651.90 points in the morning.
