Jamia Hamdard in collaboration with Heal The Globe Foundation successfully organized Plantation Drive at its campus.

New Delhi, July 27, 2024: JAMIA HAMDARD in collaboration with Heal The Globe Foundation and Delhi Police successfully organized Plantation Drive on 27/07/2024 at 10:00 a.m. near Convention Centre, Jamia Hamdard in the august presence of Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard.

Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard, Dr. M. A, Sikandar, Registrar, Mr. S.S. Akhtar, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Sarfaraz Ahsan. Deputy Registrar, Prof. Md. Shahnawaz Abdin, Provost (Boys Hostel), Mr. Ram Sunder, OSD, Estate  & Security, Mr. Azhar Ali Khan, Executive Engineer, other officers, students of Jamia Hamdard, Mr. Ashish Baisoya, Director, Ms. Jyoti Sharma, Deputy Director, Heal The Globe Foundation and Mr. Anil Kumar, S.I., Delhi Police planted trees near Convention Centre, Jamia Hamdard.

In his speech, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor highlighted the importance of plants and trees in our daily life. He further said that Jamia Hamdard is known for its beautiful green campus in Delhi. He further said that today we have planted around 150 trees and we have a plan to plant 5000 different kinds of trees at the campus of Jamia Hamdard and its surrounding areas in collaboration with Heal The Globe Foundation and other NGOs this year. 

He also thanked Mr. Ashish Baisoya, Director, Ms. Jyot Sharma, Deputy Director, Heal The Globe Foundation, Registrar, Controller of Examinations and other officers of Jamia Hamdard for organising plantation Drive.

On this occasion, Dr. M. A. Sikandar, Registrar thanked the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, COE, other officers of Jamia Hamdard, Director and Deputy Director of Heal The Globe Foundation and Delhi Police.

The program was anchored by Prof. Md. Shahnawaz Abdin, Provost (Boys), Jamia Hamdard.

The Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Sarfaraz Ahsan, Deputy Registrar, Jamia  Hamdard.
