Jerusalem (IINA) : The Engineering Department of Jenin Municipality on Wednesday began working on the construction of a new school in Jenin, a Palestinian city in the northern West Bank, thanks to finance provided by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
Head of Jenin Municipality Dr. Mohammed Abu Ghali said the bulldozers of the municipality launched the process of survey and flattening for build a school in the neighborhood of Kharuba, which is in dire need of the school. He pointing out that the financing of the Islamic Development Bank at a cost of $1.14 million.
The construction process comes following continuous appeals from the residents for years, where students are forced to walk long distances to access schools outside their neighborhood.
