New Delhi : The Haj Committee had invited applications from Muslims for Haj for the year 2022. The process of submitting online applications has started from 1st November.

The last date for submission of application is January 31, 2022.

This year, the government has designed the whole process for Haj pilgrimage in a way that will boost the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign.

Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi announced this in a press conference Monday. He said that this time the Haj process will be 100 percent digital. For this Haj mobile app has been upgraded.

He said that applications for Haj can be made online and through mobile Haj app that offers all the facilities.

The Haj pilgrims are being encouraged to carrying goods prepared in the country.

Earlier, Haj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia used to buy sheets, pillows, towels, umbrellas and other items in foreign currency.

In India, these goods will be available at around 50 percent less cost. Along with this, it will also promote ‘Vocal for Local campaign launched by the government to boost the local production.

All the baggage will be handed over each Haj pilgrim at their designated places of boarding the flight.

The selection process for Haj aspirants will be done keeping in mind all the condition of the Saudi government with regard to the Covid-19 Vaccine and the Corona Protocol.
