Kolkata to Host National Educational Conference & Home Tutor Excellence Awards 2025 Celebrating Grassroots Educators and Championing Inclusive Education

Kolkata, West Bengal – April 25, 2025
In an ambitious national initiative to honour unsung heroes in education and inspire community-driven learning, the Educational Conference & Home Tutor Excellence Awards 2025 will take place on 27th April 2025 at Hotel Ivory Inn, Kolkata. Organised by Maeeshat Academy (Mumbai) in collaboration with The Sirri Saqti Foundation (Kolkata), the event is themed “The Idea of Education in West Bengal” and aims to spotlight inclusive, grassroots educational efforts.

This pioneering conference and award ceremony brings together educators, academicians, social leaders, and youth from across India to explore educational equity, innovation, and the critical role of home tutors in reaching marginalised learners. It is a rallying call to reaffirm that education is a right, not a privilege.

Celebrating Community Educators & Promoting Educational Justice

The centrepiece of the event is the Home Tutor Excellence Awards Ceremony, honouring educators who have quietly transformed lives through localised, compassionate teaching. These tutors often serve students from slums, informal settlements, and disadvantaged communities—those who are excluded from formal schooling due to poverty, child labour, or displacement.

“Home tutors are the silent warriors of education,” said Mr. Abdur Rahim, co-organiser from The Sirri Saqti Foundation. “This event honours their service and calls on others to follow their lead.”

Power-Packed Sessions & Inspirational Speakers

The full-day event will feature impactful keynote speeches and panel discussions from prominent voices in global and Indian education:

  • Er Faisal Masood (USA) will deliver the keynote on Global Trends in Education: Best Practices and Innovations.
  • Mr. Mohammad Mohtashim (Founder, Tutorials Point) and Dr. Syed Misbahuddin (Mimber Academy, USA) will share transformative educational models.
  • Panel sessions will explore the educational scenario in West Bengal, inclusive and religious education, and grassroots innovation, featuring leaders from Aaliyah University, Alhoda School, Falcon Institutions, and more.
  • Danish Reyaz, Director of Ibn e Mariyam Schools, will spotlight special needs education and community inclusion.

Call to Action: Youth as Volunteer Tutors

Beyond recognition, the event aims to mobilise youth as volunteer educators and build a national network of change-makers to ensure no child is left behind. By creating educational bridges in underserved areas, the initiative strives to make learning both accessible and aspirational.

Esteemed Guests & Partners

The event is supported by reputed institutions including Al Ameen Mission (Kolkata), Falcon Group of Institutions (Bengaluru), Mimber Academy (India, Turkey, USA), Tutorix, the educational App, and Hotel Ivory Inn. Chief Guests Mr. M Nurul Islam and Dr. Abdul Subhan will honour exceptional educators during the award ceremony.

The conference concludes with a vote of thanks by Mr. Rafey Mahmood Siddiqui, representing Hotel Ivory Inn, recognising the collective efforts that made the event possible.
