New Delhi , 5th June 2022 (Press Release): MPCI welcome BJP move expelling it’s national spokesperson Nupur Sharma and Delhi state media coordinator Navin Kumar Jindal from the primary membership for 6 years for their blasphemous outburst against the Prophet Mohammed (BPUH). Council also welcome the BJP official statement clarifying its stand to honour all religious sentiments of the citizenry of the country.
President of the Council Dr Tasleem Rehmani demanded while welcoming the BJP move to immediately arrest both the culprits against whom half a dozen FIRs are pending in various police stations. He said in Media statement, “ it is not sufficient to merely issue some press statement and expel the two”. Dr Rehmani said, this move is a sequel of Council’s legal notice served to BJP, ECI, Times Now channel and Nupur Sharma asking a public apology from the Islamic world, stringent action against Nupur on 1st June 2022 to be replied within 15 days.”
Dr Rehmani said that council will surely take legal course if Nupur is not arrest under relevant sections and party don’t submit a public apology for what had happened in a public TV show. He said it has become a habit of some sidelined BJP workers and leader to abuse Islam and Muslims to seek attention and get elevated among party rank and file. If BJP is truthful in what they say about honouring all religions they must take appropriate action against all such big mouths of the party.
