HUBBALLI: Shaheen PU College of the Shaheen Group of Institutions has secured historic and excellent results in the PU II examinations this year.

Nazneen Begum, a student of Shaheen PU college, has topped the Bidar District by securing 96.5 percent marks in the recently announced PU II examinations. Out of 600, she secured 579 marks. Similarly, Mohammad Furqan got 95.3 percent with 572 marks. As many as 11 students from the college have got more than 94% marks, and 133 students scored distinction and created history in Bidar.

In all, 928 students of Shaheen College appeared for the PU II examination. Out of which, 133 students passed with distinction and 604 with First Class.

Sharing his joy with Hubballi Times.com, Dr. Abdul Qadir, Chairman of the Shaheen Group of Institutions, thanked the Almighty over this success. He also expressed his gratitude and congratulated the students, guardians, as well as principal and lecturers.

“We aim at making around 1,000 students capable of qualifying to get government MBBS seats by 2020. Insha Allah, our students will get good results in NEET as well,” he hoped.

It has been learnt that the Shaheen Group of Institutions is opening a Shaheen College in Hubballi as well. According to sources, the college will start functioning from this academic year itself. In 2018, as many as 304 students of this college had qualified the NEET exam.
