“WHC 2019 was by all accounts, a tremendous success and I feel we’ve set a very high bar for ourselves for next year,” said The Hon. Senator Dr. Radzi Jidin, the Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs. “Attendance and general interest in the event exceeded our initial projections where more than 1200 delegates from 50 countries attended the 2-day conference. We made major partnership announcements, collaborations, launched a new service and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from all delegates.” he ended.

The WHC 2019 also witnessed the launch of BUNGKUS by HONESTBEE, a mobile apps-based food delivery service company committed to ensure the Halal status of the products delivered is uncompromised throughout the delivery process. The launch was graced by Hanisofian Alias, Vice President Industry Development, Halal Industry Development Corporation.

“In line with the country’s digital economy initiatives, the launch of the first Halal-certified food delivery service, BUNGKUS by HONESTBEE doesn’t just reflect on the rising demand for Halal services but also the need to integrate technology within the Halal ecosystem to accelerate the growth of the Halal industry.” said Hanisofian.

This year’s conference saw strategic collaboration of several partners including, Duopharma Biotech Berhad, Nestle Malaysia, McDonalds Malaysia, Echo Foxtrot Sdn Bhd (Bungkus by Honestbee), Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Hong Leong Islamic Bank and Association of Islamic Banking and Financial Institutions Malaysia (AIBIM).
