Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry Headquarters, Manama

Manama (IINA) : Bahrain has welcomed Morocco’s rejoining of the African Union (AU), considering it as a wise step and in the interest of the African continent, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that this move will also promote cooperation between Morocco and the AU member states and strengthen joint African action.

The ministry praised the important regional and international role of Morocco, saying that by rejoining the AU, Morocco will be able to contribute and support the development and consolidation of peace and security to strengthen the AU’s capacity in confronting challenges and achieving its peoples’ aspiration for further progress and prosperity.
