500 Foreign Representatives to take part in GIS-2016 at Indore

Bhopal, October 13: Around 500 representatives including foreign ministers and ambassadors will take part this year in the summit. A total number of 3000 participants are expected to take part in the Global Investors Summit, (GIS), 2016 which is scheduled to be held at Indore, the financial capital of central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh on October 22 and 23.

The above statement was made by Madhya Pradesh Minister for Commerce, Industry and Employment, Mineral Resources and Non Resident Indians Rajendra Shukla while reviewing the arrangements for the GIS-2016. He said that all the arrangements should be made keeping in account the dignity of summit and under the stipulated time limit. Micro action plan should be made and better implementation should be carried out. He further said that make summit successful as earlier and leave no stone unturned for branding of Madhya Pradesh.

Shukla inspected the arrangements of the programme site. He reviewed point wise and in detail about the arrangements from the officers of the concerned departments. Managing Director of TRIFAC D.P. Ahuja, Collector P. Narhari and officers of the concerned department were present in the meeting.

He further mentioned that GIS is a branding event. Madhya Pradesh is to be established as the most favourable state for investment. Better branding will be established through GIS. The GIS can be made good medium for marketing also. He said that special focus should be laid on ‘Make In India’. He said the efforts and action plan should be made at micro level to achieve historical success. All the departments should work in coordination and all the arrangements should be made with utmost seriousness, responsibility and within time limit.

Principal Secretary Industry Mohammad Suleman informed about arrangements related to the summit. Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Dubey informed about arrangements being made at Indore. DIG Santosh Kumar Singh informed about the security arrangements of the summit.

Minister Shukla inspected and reviewed pre GIS arrangements in the meeting. He reviewed exhibition site, parking area, main programme site, auditoriums of seminar sessions, media rooms and other arrangements. He also reviewed in detail about food arrangements He directed the officials to keep special attention towards food quality. Also special attention was specified for cleanliness of roads, repairs and beautification of squares.
