Syed Sadatullah Hussaini re-elected as President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind

Syed Sadatullah Hussaini has been elected as the new Ameer (National President) by members of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind in New Delhi.

At the Jamaat’s headquarters on April 27, a total of 162 members of the Markazi Majlis-e Numanidgan (Council of Representatives) held a meeting, which included 36 women. Following Jamaat’s Constitution, the Council of Representatives conducted discussions and consultations before electing a new Ameer for a four-year term.

Hussaini has previously held the positions of President and Vice President (Naib Ameer) within the organization. He was also the President of the organization’s Student Wing, the Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) of India. Originally from Nanded in Maharashtra, he has now relocated to Hyderabad in Telangana.

Additionally, he has authored multiple books and academic papers related to Islam and the Islamic Movement, and he pursued a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering as an undergraduate.
